Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide speech and language services in a K-12 school setting located in Heflin, Alabama. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to support students with diverse communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation complying with state and federal regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working in school settings with children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong knowledge of speech-language disorders and intervention strategies within the educational environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
